- Mixed Grill6oz gammon steak, 4oz rump steak, lamb chop, pork chop, Cumberland sausage, onions rings, half a grilled tomato, chips, peas and a fried egg. Not for the faint hearted!

About Us
The Hare and Hounds is a beautiful period Bath stone building situated two minutes drive from the famous city of Bath, the 'playground to the elite' and site of the famous Roman Baths. The pub boasts many claims to fame, not least of which is the fact that it is said to have received the earliest ever granted licence to an alehouse, dated 1645. Whether having lunch with the family or an intimate dinner for two, everyone appreciates the stunning views of the beautiful Charlcombe Valley, to be enjoyed from our 18th Century porch or superb terraces and conservatory. The Hare and Hounds has a fantastic pub food menu which includes all the traditional favourites such as fresh fish and chips, steak and ale pie, snacks and modest dishes, alongside a much more eclectic mix of home made dishes and specials, backed up by our delicious Sunday carvery.
